Superfood is basically a popular marketing term for unprocessed food claimed to give extraordinary health benefits, often resulting in weight loss, enhanced energy levels, anti-aging and other lifestyle changes. The word “superfood” is not generally used by medical experts, dietitians, or nutritionists, most of whom either dispute that certain foods possess the claims made by their proponents. Some individuals even go as far as saying that all foods are superfoods. However, there is some merit to the term. Let’s see what some foods are really like.

As you can see, there are plenty of nutritious foods that can be classified as “superfoods”. Each year, scientists and researchers pour over the literature from all over the world in order to compile the most beneficial research that they can find. Unfortunately, many of the most beneficial foods are too difficult for us to include in our diets. This is why it is so important to learn as much about each of the superfoods that we come across as possible.
